When we founded Hunter Blair Homes in 1995, it was our dream to use our industry experience and design expertise to create beautiful custom homes for our clients. We understand the importance of integrity, commitment and communication and incorporate these fundamental values into every project we complete. As a low-volume builder, we are proud to offer our clients exceptional architectural design and customer service that is unmatched in the industry.

Principal Biographies

Roger Blair Keeling
Founder, President and CEO

Roger attended the University of Kentucky, studied Architecture and Accounting, and was co-captain of his varsity baseball team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Louisville. Roger has more than twenty years of financial and business experience. He has served as Controller of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta–Scottish Rite, Executive Vice President of Hillard Development Corporation, and Chief Financial Officer of Vencor–Atlanta, and for all of these organizations was responsible for fiscal operations, including construction and renovation projects. During the 1990s, Roger acquired and personally renovated various properties in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta. His construction roots were founded in Kentucky, where family members also specialize in the construction of multi-million dollar custom homes in Lexington and Central Kentucky. A member of the North Fulton Chapter of Rotary International, Roger served on the Construction Committee of Habitat for Humanity North Fulton, the Construction Committee for Covenant Christian Academy and the board of directors for the Alpharetta Youth Softball Association. He has also coached youth softball, youth basketball, and men’s baseball in both Atlanta and Louisville.


Kurtis Brown
Vice President

Kurtis was born in Oklahoma, and grew up in Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville, earning a Chemical Engineering degree with Honors. Kurtis then joined the Kimberly-Clark Corporation as a research engineer, working in Product and Process Development where his work earned more than 12 worldwide patents. From there, he moved into project management where he led the design and implementation of multi-million dollar capital projects on a global scale. Representative projects include the installation and start-up of $20 million to $50 million in machinery and equipment in Kimberly-Clark operations around the world. Most recently, Kurtis lead teams of research and engineering professionals in areas of product development and global capital improvement. Closer to home, he coaches girls youth softball and is a leader in the Alpharetta Youth Softball Association. He lives with his wife Kim and their two daughters, Katheryn and Kristina.


Carolyn Hunter Keeling
Vice President-Operations

Carolyn, a native Atlantan, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Cum Laude, from Wake Forest University and a Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has held management positions in various businesses for over sixteen years, including Director of Piedmont Craftsmen, one of the Southeast’s largest galleries and renowned as a source of art and home decoration. As well, Carolyn has lived in North Carolina, California and Europe, all contributing to her ability to develop and refine the architectural style, detail, and function of every Hunter Blair home.


Ellen M. Kranich
Office Manager / Service Manager

Ellen brings more than 20 years of office managerial experience to Hunter Blair Homes. Having worked in the homebuilding industry since 1996, she enjoys playing an integral role in the construction of each Hunter Blair home and ensures complete customer satisfaction in her post-Construction Service Manager role. By managing the company's financials and ongoing construction schedules, she ensures the efficient operation of Hunter Blair and all of its current projects. Prior to moving to Georgia in 1996, Ellen worked in office management for 27 years with the San Joaquin County Parks Department. A California native, Ellen enjoys golfing and traveling the world in her spare time.

Hunter Blair Homes is a multi-year winner of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association/Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council Gold Professionalism Award. The Gold Professionalism Award, or “Gold Obie”, is an annual award presented to Atlanta homebuilders, on an individual project basis, in recognition of achieving the highest level of homebuilding excellence.
