Granada Restoration

Bringing Granada Back to Life

Granada, founded in 1524 by Don Francisco Hernández de Córdoba, is the oldest city in Central America. Located on the north shore of Lake Nicaragua, it is one of the loveliest cities in the region, with elegant Baroque and Renaissance style architecture surrounding a charming central square.

During the unrest of the 1970’s and ‘80s Granada’s distinctive colonial homes fell into disrepair, but political and economic stability have given rise to a full-scale effort to preserve and restore the city’s historic heritage.

Hunter Blair is thrilled to be a part of this important restoration effort. We have purchased a number of homes for renovation, and are working closely with the Granada Preservation Society to ensure our construction protects the integrity of the stunning colonial architecture while providing the comfort and convenience our clients expect in a modern home.

In the last year, property sales in this picturesque port town have risen to heights not seen for a decade.
